Heather Stevens, Founder

Built for the People the Industry Ignores

Heather Stevens is the founder and face of War Quail. A competitive shooter since childhood, a state champion, a mother of four, a veteran of private military contracting overseas, and one of the top NRA rated female instructors in Oklahoma, her path to founding War Quail stemmed from hard earned experience.

Before War Quail, Heather served as Head of Sales for TFirearms, where she built her expertise in firearms retail and customer education from the ground up. When TFirearms restructured and stepped back from retail and training, Heather didn't step back, she stepped out.

Launching War Quail as her own company, she carved it into its own niche: community-driven firearms and education built specifically for families, women, and people who've always felt like an afterthought in the gun industry.

Where It Started

Raised With It

Heather grew up with firearms as a natural part of life. As a competitor in both FFA and 4-H, she earned a state championship in competitive air rifle, a discipline that demands the kind of precision and mental focus that no amount of gear can substitute for. That foundation never left her.

Today she is a mother of four, an avid hunter and outdoorswoman, and the owner and operator of a professional service and working-dog kennel. She lives what she teaches, a life rooted in the land, in family, and in the quiet confidence that comes from actually knowing what you're doing.

Real-World Experience

This Isn't Range Theory

Before War Quail, Heather spent several years as a private military contractor overseas, collaborating with law enforcement and building a real-world foundation in the practical application of firearms. Not tactical cosplay. The actual application of skill, responsibility, and consequence interwoven as one.

That experience, combined with years of retail leadership outside of the firearms industry along with professional sales expertise, gives her a perspective that's rare in the firearms industry: someone who has seen what this looks like when it matters most, and who knows how to communicate that clearly to people who are just starting out.

The Mission

War Quail Was Built for the Covey

The Bobwhite quail lives and survives in groups. Roles are shared. Some stand guard, some gather, some lead the covey to new ground. When danger comes, every member knows their part. That's the model, not fear, not intimidation, but community, readiness, and the confidence that only comes from real preparation.

War Quail exists to build capable, confident protectors, starting with the people most often overlooked by the industry.

Mothers. Families. First-time owners.

People who take the responsibility seriously and deserve instruction that meets them where they are without a bunch of macho hype and words that don't make sense.

Our goals are simple: Safety starts at home. Education builds confidence. Strong families build strong communities.
